August was a roller coaster ride for the equity markets in many respects.  High levels of volatility were seen earlier in the month followed by a quick correction that resulted in a positive return overall within the large-cap space.  Marty LaPrade takes a peek under the hood at performance and highlights the broadening out that was seen, with returns focused away from the prior leaders of Technology and A.I.  Marty also touches on the dispersion seen between large-cap and small-cap and what investors should be focused on as we exit the summer.
