Alicia Dator

President, CCO
Start of Sawgrass Career: 2001

Ms. Dator is the President and CCO at Sawgrass, responsible for supporting and encouraging the next phase of the firm’s growth. With 21 years at the firm, her experience has provided the foundation for her newly established President role.

Alicia has worked in all departments in her 21 years with the firm such as Director of Operations, Director of Information Technology, and has worked very closely with the firm’s management committee to ensure success at the firm.

Prior to Sawgrass, she spent six years at Colonial Asset Management and Barnett Capital Advisors, Inc. in various operational roles.

Her educational accomplishments include attending the DeVry Institute of Technology.

David Furfine, CFA

Partner, Director of Fixed Income
Start of Sawgrass Career: 1998

Mr. Furfine is a Partner at Sawgrass, directs the firm’s fixed income management and research efforts, and is the lead portfolio manager for all of the firm’s fixed income products. He is responsible for interest rate analysis and portfolio construction. He serves on several of the firm’s committees, including strategic planning and management committees, as well as chair of the firm’s fixed income investment committee.

Prior to Sawgrass, he spent four years with Barnett Capital Advisors, Inc., where he oversaw all investments in mortgage-backed securities and a variety of fixed income portfolios and eight years at Prudential Home Mortgage Company managing all trading and hedging activities and a mortgage portfolio of over $10 billion.

His educational accomplishments include graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, and earning a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from The CFA Institute (formerly AIMR), of which he is a member. He is also a member and has served as a former President of the Jacksonville Financial Analysts Society.

David Siegel, CFA

Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
Start of Sawgrass Career: 2012

Mr. Siegel is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Sawgrass, responsible for portfolio construction, credit analysis, trading, and portfolio analytics. He serves on the firm’s fixed income investment committee.  Prior to Sawgrass, he worked with Pioneer Alternative Investments as a fixed income research analyst, where he selected sub-advisor funds for inclusion in a $3 billion fund of hedge funds, and with Morgan Stanley as a fixed income sales analyst servicing advisors on various fixed income investments.

His educational accomplishments include a B.S. in Financial Economics from Binghamton University and earning a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from The CFA Institute (formerly AIMR), of which he is a member. He is also the Treasurer of the CFA Society Jacksonville

Liridon Gila, CFA

CO-CIO, Portfolio Manager
Start of Sawgrass Career: 2008

Mr. Gila is CO-CIO, Portfolio Manager at Sawgrass. He is a CO-Manager of various Equity and Fixed Income strategies. He is responsible for portfolio construction and fundamental research of the entire capital structure. He serves on several of the firm’s committees, including Executive and strategic planning, equity research, and fixed income. Before Sawgrass, he worked with Fidelity National Financial as a fixed-income analyst, helping manage fixed-income investments of over $3 billion.

His educational accomplishments include an M.B.A. and B.A. in Finance from the University of North Florida and earning a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from The CFA Institute (formerly AIMR), of which he is a member. He is also a member of the Jacksonville Financial Analysts Society.

Anthony T. Brooks

Equity Portfolio Manager
Start of Sawgrass Career: 2012

Mr. Brooks is an Equity Portfolio Manager at Sawgrass, primarily managing the Diversified Large Growth equity product.  He is responsible for portfolio construction, quantitative analysis, and fundamental research.  He serves on several of the firm’s committees, including equity research and strategic planning. Prior experience includes managing $500 million in risk reduction equity strategies at Waycross Partners, recommending asset allocation at Prudential Insurance, and performing sector research at Cornucopia Wealth Management.

His educational accomplishments include an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Florida and a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University
